IVR Matrix system is scheduled to switch to TLS (https) on Monday 6/04 at 11 PM CT. There will be approximately 30 minutes of downtime during this switch.
Q: What happens to existing Portals, Agent Web Pages, bookmarked links, etc?
A: We are setting up a re-director so any http requests are automatically redirected to the new https URL. This means that all existing bookmarks and URLs will continue to work. Please encourage your members to update their bookmarks and URLs after the Go Live date.
Q: How does this benefit my membership?
A: After the switch to https, members will no longer see ‘not secure’ messages in their browser. As well, users will be able to use a Matrix IDX iframe in their https agent websites. TLS (https) is also a more secure transport method for data.
Q. How does this change impact my RETS users?
A: RETS users should update their configuration to the new https URL as soon as possible after the switch. However, we will support both http and https RETS traffic for 60 days after go live to provide RETS users with a transition period.
Q: How does this impact links to 3rd party products from Matrix?
A: This will continue to work with links to 3rd party products. However, you may see warnings that you are leaving a secure site and going to a non-secure site if the 3rd party product is not https. This is especially visible in Chrome.
