Teresa McKee , CEO NVAR, was in attendance. She was thanked for her guidance and help during this executive transition.
Board President Saunders gave an update on the Strategic Plan and our progress towards meeting Core Standards:
- IVBOR is on track and we have reviewed our "checklist" with State to insure we will be in compliance on all standards. These include updating our website, our bylaws, and more community outreach. Look for a general membership vote (by email) soon to approve the new bylaws.
- She also noted that the Survey results formed the direction of the new Plan, and the Board is listening and inviting more participation. Meetings of all committees and BOD are open to all members, and dates are now available on a public calendar on the website.
- The search for a new AE is underway with a job posting on the NAR site, and on Craigslist. We expect over 30 applications by the deadline in May. We hope to welcome a new AE in June.
- The office is also currently looking for a 20 hr a week customer service person. Job posted on Craigslist.
BOD President Saunders assured everyone that the goal was 100% transparency with all minutes available shortly on the new website. The Board also agreed that the Forms issue was of major concern and was working towards making more forms available to all members.
Finally it was announced that the new MLS platform MATRIX (replacing Fusion and MLXchange) was already running in some parts of the Country. We expect a full conversion in December. Karen Bruno and Bob Wheeler will be attending training this summer and we will host several local training sessions for membership for a smooth transition. We encourage member who want new fields and functionality in their MLS to submit their suggestions to the office.
Meeting adjourned at 9:10 am followed by General Announcements.
Tour ran from 10 am to 1 pm.
